How heavy is your vehicle’s side window?

Our heavy-duty window regulator is calibrated for the weight of the window ex works. Different springs produce a preload force. 

It is thus essential to know the window’s weight to select the right heavy-duty window regulator.

Why does my window regulator not lower correctly?

The selected window weight determines the design of the Heavy Duty window regulator. If the window regulator is operated with a window that differs from the selected weight range, functionality will be limited or no longer ensured.

A window regulator designed for higher window weights does not offer improved stability or functionality.

Example for correct design

The window regulator is intended to be installed in a vehicle with a window weighing 22 kg / 48 lbs. 

Selcect Window weight 24 – 29 kg / 52 – 64 lbs

 Incorrect design!
The window will not move downward 
due to excessive spring preload.

Select Window weight 10 – 23 kg / 22 – 51 lbs

 Correct design! 
The window lifts at nearly 
the same speed as it lowers.
